Research trial participation

Research TrialsIn addition to our publicly available treatment programs we also offer free programs through participation in research trials.

A research trial involves allocating willing and eligible participants at random (by chance; for example by flipping a coin) to receive one of several interventions, which main include allocation to:

  • The intervention under direct investigation (e.g., online treatment program with therapist assistance via email)
  • A comparison intervention (e.g., face-to-face therapy)
  • A control condition (e.g., starting one of the active interventions several weeks or months later)

Prior to commencing the research trial you will be provided with an information statement that will outline in detail what the study is about. If you provide your consent to participate you can still withdraw from the study at any stage.

Information about our current research trials can be found on our “Participate in research” page.
